Before and After Lip Fillers

FAQs about Lips Fillers

“How do Lip Fillers Work?”

Lip fillers work by hydrating and revitalising the lip. Lip fillers do not just plump the lip but also hydrate the skin. Lip fillers are usually injected in the form of a vial (a measurement of injectable liquid administered during the treatment.)

“Will I look dramatically different?”

No. Our practitioners work like artists and will ensure a natural look is maintained. During your consultation your doctor or pharmacist will discuss the best plan for you to achieve the results you want.

“Are Lip filler injections painful?”

Most patients only experience mild discomfort. As the needles used for dermal fillers are very fine, the amount of pain experienced by patients is minimal and the procedure does not require anesthesia. However, it should be noted that many of the dermal fillers today contain Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to minimise discomfort. In addition, topical numbing creams can be used to further minimise discomfort when injecting in sensitive areas.

“What happens at our consultation?”

During the consultation our practitioners will discuss the results you intend to achieve from the treatment and advise you appropriately. You will never be rushed and our highly skilled practitioners will discuss aspects of your skin you are unhappy with, your desired results, costs and timings. Our aim is for you to leave your consultation confident, fully informed and looking forward to the treatment.

“How long do lip fillers last?”

The exact duration will vary from person to person as lifestyle factors such as smoking or sun exposure can affect how long the results last, however, you can expect duration of 6 to 12 months.

“How long before can I wear Lip liner or Lipstick after treatment?”

No make up or product should be applied to your lips for at least 12 hours after treatments.
